ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant Registrar (Academics) 1 Position
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
First Degree in Business Administration/Public Administration or Human

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the administration of academic programs or services; exposure and knowledge of academic and governance structures within a university
- Experience in a Registrar’s office, academic advising and programme planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Leadership and staff management experience.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpreting Academic policies to students within the University
- Managing students registration process annually and production of enrolment reports
- Servicing admissions committee
- Preparing students orientation programme
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the University Registrar from time to time

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Masters degree in the relevant field

- Minimum of two years in research supervision and coordination Plans and coordinates the initiation research study protocol and the establishment of operating policies and procedures

Malawi School Certificate Education or its equivalent, coupled at least with 5 years military or police training.

- Advise management on security advancement in line with MAGUs requirements
- Ensure the security of all commissions premises and property at all times
- Maintain security detail including duty roster for all security personnel
- Prepare brief and monthly reports including ad hoc reports for Management
