Minimum of 2years teaching experience and or other Relevant

Experience such as Research or Engagement in the relevant profession

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Organizing teaching programs with the approval of the Faculty.
  2. Maintaining acceptable standards of teaching, and ensuring that facilities are available for research in their respective disciplines.
  3. Liaising with other departments, professional institutions, associations and similar bodies on matters affecting the
  4. Presenting the department’s academic interests, in the context of the University’s strategy, to industry, government, the             professions and       educational communities in local and, where appropriate international.

Assistant Registrar (Academics)                                1 Position

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

First Degree in Business Administration/Public Administration or Human

Resource    Management

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the administration of academic programs or services; exposure and knowledge of academic and     governance structures within a   university
  • Experience in a Registrar’s office, academic advising and programme planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Leadership and staff management experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Interpreting Academic policies to students within the University
  2. Managing students registration process annually and production of enrolment reports
  3. Servicing admissions committee
  4. Preparing students orientation programme
  5. Any other duties as may be assigned by the University Registrar from time to time

Research Coordinator                                              1 Position

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

Minimum of a Masters degree in the relevant field

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of two years in research supervision and coordination Plans and coordinates the initiation research study protocol and the establishment of operating policies and procedures
  • Prepares research ethics and board applications
  • Ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities

  2. Responsible for day to day administration of post graduate programs in liaison with the Dean

Security Officer                                                        1 Position

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Malawi School Certificate Education or its equivalent, coupled at least with 5 years military or police training.

A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Retired Police or MDF Officers

Practicing Christian

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Advise management on security advancement in line with MAGUs requirements
  2. Ensure the security of all commissions premises and property at all times
  3. Maintain security detail including duty roster for all security personnel
  4. Prepare brief and monthly reports including ad hoc reports for Management
