Brief History; The Catholic University of Malawi is an accredited institution of higher learning established by the Episcopal Conference of Malawi on October 16, 2004. The University started admitting students in 2006 and was officially opened on 28th October, 2006 by the late President Bingu wa Mutharika. It has seven faculties, namely Commerce, Education, Law, Nursing and Midwifery, Science, Social Sciences and Theology.

The Catholic University of Malawi invites suitably qualified persons to apply for its various programmes. Successful applicants will be admitted for programmes which commence in January (Weekend/Part time) and February (Generic/Full time) in 2020. In order to be considered, candidates must apply by completing and submitting the relevant application form and required attachments

GENERIC/ FULL TIME PROGRAMMES

Admission into generic/full time programmes is through three routes : (1) University Entrance Examinations, (2) Bridging Programme (3) Consideration of A-level and post-secondary certificates

Catholic University of Malawi Lilongwe Campus;

• Apply using application forms clearly marked “Application Form for Weekend (Part-Time Studies) Degree/Diploma Programmes.”
• Specific requirements are indicated against each programme.

• Successful applicants will be admitted for programmes which commence in December for those who will study at Lilongwe Satellite Centre  and January 202 for those who will study at the Main Campus in Nguludi–Chiradzulu.
