Brief History; Blantyre International University BIU) was established in 2008 to provide high quality university education for this century. This is predicated on its belief that education must be life-long – that education is not a spatial monopoly of something called the school and college; not a time-bound learning experience; there is no such thing as childhood education, adolescent education, youth education, or adult education.

Blantyre International University (BIU) is pleased to announce that it will commence offering tuition for ABMA professional diploma qualifications of the United Kingdom from July this year at its campus in Michiru. We are therefore inviting applications for students seeking these diploma professional qualifications to enroll with us for Levels 4, 5, & 6 of the following professional diploma programmes, starting in July 2020:

1. Professional Business Management
2. Professional Community Development
3. Professional Computer Engineering
4. Professional Computing and Information Systems
5. Professional HIV/AIDS Management
6. Professional Human Resource Management
7. Professional Journalism and Media Studies
8. Professional Public Health Management
9. Professional Shipping and Logistics

Completing an ABMA qualification opens a great many doors not just to the world of work but also exciting opportunities to continue your studies onto degree and master’s level programmes. If you complete your ABMA Education qualification, you can continue your studies to degree level with Blantyre International University.

The teaching for these programmes will be offered on week-ends (Saturdays and Sundays) and via our state-of-the-art E-learning, that is available to learners 24/7. Therefore, everyone can study with us regardless of where they live.

Tuition Fees per subject per semester are MK18,000.00 for Level 4, MK20,000 for Level 5, and MK22,000 for Level 6 for any of these professional diploma programmes. Each level has 5 subjects.
Application fees: MK5,000.00

At the end of the semester, students will write examinations which will come from the ABMA Headquarters in the United Kingdom and will be required to pay the prescribed examination fees to ABMA. Success in these exams will qualify students to proceed to next Levels and final Level in subsequent semesters.

Entry Requirements: MSCE Pass or Equivalent for entry into level 4, and passes of Levels 4 and 5 into Levels 5 and 6, respectively.
