Brief History; Blantyre International University BIU) was established in 2008 to provide high quality university education for this century. This is predicated on its belief that education must be life-long – that education is not a spatial monopoly of something called the school and college; not a time-bound learning experience; there is no such thing as childhood education, adolescent education, youth education, or adult education.

Blantyre International University (BIU), a fully registered and recognized university by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), is pleased to invite applications for enrolment into its January 2021 intake on a full time and distance learning basis for the following Bachelors Degree Programmes:

(2) Actuarial Science;

(3) Banking & Finance;

(4) Business Administration;

(5) Community Development;

(6) Counselling Psychology;

(7) Economics;

(8) Entrepreneurship;

(9) Human Resource Management;

(10) Information Technology;

(11) Journalism,

(12) Law;

(13) Logistics and Supply Chain Management;

(14) Public Administration and Political Science;

(15) Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Minimum Entry Requirements:

Six credit passes, including English, MSCE/GCSE/Equivalent or one A-Level/(IB) or
Mature Entry with at least 3 years working experience and three credit passes including English at the
MSCE or equivalent level.

APPLICATION FEES: MWK5,000

TUITION FEES PER SEMESTER: MWK420,000 (US$560) for full time study and MWK336,000 (US$450) for
distance learning, payable in full or 50% upon registration and the remaining 50% by 28 February 2020.

REGISTRATION PERIOD: 30 December 2021 to 10 January 2022.

COMMENCEMENT OF CLASSES: 13th January, 2022

deposit slip together with your application letter indicating which degree programme you want to study for
plus copies of your MSCE or equivalent certificates or exam results slips to:
