Brief History; The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources is a university outside Lilongwe, Malawi. It was formed in 2011 by a merger between Bunda College of Agriculture of the University of Malawi and Natural Resources College.

The Department of Environmental Sciences and Management is one of the three departments in the Faculty of Natural Resources. The aims of the department include; teaching technical and management skills leading to a Bachelor of Science degrees in Natural Resources Management and Environmental Science, conducting useful research on national environmental and natural resources problems and providing a forum for examining problems in environment and resource use through outreach and consultancy services.

1. The Aquaculture and Fisheries Science Department was established following the need for technical human resources in aquaculture and fisheries.
2. The Department of Environmental Sciences and Management is one of the three departments in the Faculty of Natural Resources.
