Brief History; The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources is a university outside Lilongwe, Malawi. It was formed in 2011 by a merger between Bunda College of Agriculture of the University of Malawi and Natural Resources College.

Details About Lilongwe University

The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has released names of successful candidates to pursue degree programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) for both Generic (year 1) and Mature entry (year 2).

The opening date for the semester is 12 March 2020. Students are expected to attend a two-week orientation and facilitation session that will take place at Natural Resources College (NRC) Campus. Students are advised to arrange their transport to the orientation venue in addition to food and accommodation during the orientation period.

The tuition fee is at MK 350,000.00 per year or MK 175,000.00 per semester, which must be paid through the following National Bank Account: LUANAR ODL FEES, 1002868683, Lilongwe Gateway Service Center. Students will only be registered after paying the tuition fees in full and upon production of an original bank deposit slip bearing the student name during registration.

In addition to the tuition fees, students are expected to deposit MK30,000.00 as a contribution towards the printing of study materials (Modules). The module fees should be deposited separately from the tuition fees. Only students who will have paid this amount shall have access to the printed study materials.
