The College of Medicine (CoM) offers the Masters of Medicine (MMed) degree programmes which enable clinicians to specialize in the following clinical disciplines; Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Ophthalmology, Family Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat), Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. Besides clinical training, MMED students are required to conduct research in specific topics relevant to their areas of specialization and submit a dissertation. Thus, our MMed graduates are expected to become leaders in the clinical management of patients but also generate novel ways of managing patients through clinical research.

The normal duration of the MMed programmes is 4 years although, but students may be permitted to complete the programme in 7 years, depending on their personal circumstances and the nature of the programme.
