Brief History; Kamuzu College of Nursing has also been recognized as a leader in Nursing and Midwifery education that conforms to national and international standards of nursing and midwifery competence, outstanding faculties and departments with 6 Undergraduate, 8 Post Basic, 6 Masters and 3 Doctoral programmes and is affiliated with three other national colleges namely; Daeyang Luke College of Nursing, Malawi College of Health Sciences and Saint John of God College of Health Sciences.

  • Must have MSCE or its equivalent with 6 credits that should include credits in Mathematics, Physical Science, Biology and English (+ any other 2 credits).

Entry Requirements
An applicant must have the following qualifications;

  • MSCE/O-Level credits in Biology, Physical Science, English and Mathematics.
  • University diploma in Nursing.
  • Be a Registered Nurse/ Midwife.
  • In addition, all candidates are expected to have at least 2 years of work experience in either nursing or midwifery at the RN level.
  • Applicants with distinction and credit pass in their previous academic records shall have an added advantage.

Duration

All programs listed have a duration of 2 years each.
