Faculty Members by Academic Qualifications

Students at the Polytechnic are taught by qualified faculty members, most of whom have initially been trained locally up to the undergraduate level, and then pursued graduate training at institutions in other countries in Africa, Europe, North America, and even Asia and Australia. There are 256 faculty members at the Polytechnic.  Of these, 42 have doctorate degrees, 150 have master’s degrees, and 64 have bachelor’s degrees. It takes quite a bit of academic productivity to become a professor within the UNIMA system. Perhaps not surprisingly, there are only 2 professors at the Polytechnic, and there are 5 associate professors. There are 38 senior lecturers, 104 lecturers and 48 assistant lecturers.

Student Body
The College caters to students of both genders who come from all three regions of the country—Northern, Central, and Southern. International students are also welcome to enrol. There are currently 4777 students enrolled at the Polytechnic, of which 3166 are male and 1611 are female.
